From my understanding: Low: either 10 or less or 5 or less.

actually, DAOC used to do it, EVE does it but its a sandbox.

Speaking last night over the phone with, general manager Anthony Castoro said the launch of H1Z1 - along with its new suite of features - will attract new and returning players to the game.Ĭastoro was un-phased by the precipitous decline in player numbers and made assurances that the H1Z1 Pro League was in no way under threat. This is an MMO, and I don't think there are many if any MMO's out there that have shown a player count on servers in the last 15 years.
#H1z1 concurrent players update#
Update (28/02/18): Daybreak Games today announced that H1Z1 has officially released after two years in Early Access. has reached out to Daybreak Games for comment and is awaiting response. The League, which promised a "player-first" approach with salaries comparable to that of Overwatch League pros, is likely unsustainable given the current state of the game. With such a marked decline in active users, the future of the H1Z1 Pro League has been called into doubt. Users on Reddit and Steam also blamed the developer's lacking support for the game as it enters a second year of Early Access. The issue was only compounded further by the surprise entry of Fortnite onto the scene with its free, cross-platform battle royale mode. Since then however, the former king of the battle royale genre has begun a decent in obsolescence with PUBG not only leaving Early Access on PC, but also arriving on the Xbox One. However, according to data from GitHyp, the number of concurrent players has fallen off dramatically since then, peaking at 14,000 this month and struggling to regularly exceed to 9,000.Īt the height of its success, H1Z1 was frequently the third-most played game on Steam, coming in behind only Dota 2 and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. The game peaked mid-way through last year when it reached 150,000 concurrent players. I'm honestly saddened by this because i don't think a game like Elsword don't come that very often.Original story (26/02/18): Mere months before the pro league was set to launch, it has been revealed that H1Z1's player base has declined by 91% since July 2017. The only games that i genuinely like of this genre are MapleStory,Closers,Elsword,Grandchase, with Elsword being my favourite. How long do you think the current Elsword will last? I'm happy to hear that they're working on a new game but it's sad to see that it's not something that is like Elsword/Grandchase,for me these games are so unique, fun and very hard to find. They did alpha testing earlier, so soon they'll probably do beta testing this year.

Check it out if you can! It's focused on PvP and its in 3D. It's supposed to be 100 years later after the events of GrandChase, so I guess it's sort of a sequel for Elsword in a way since they have a lot of moves/skills inspired by Elsword. This represents a nearly 90 percent loss of concurrent players from the July 2017 peak when an average of 87K concurrent players were on Steam.

While that still puts it far off the astronomical player numbers. The concurrent player record set then was 150,402, while the peak in the last 30 days was 17,652. In the last 30 days, H1Z1 saw an average of 9.5K concurrent players. That number continued to rise until it peaked at 75,429 concurrent players yesterday evening. They're making a game called "KurtzPel: Bringer of Chaos". The decline in H1Z1 viewership tracks with the game’s waning playerbase. I'd say we're still getting plenty of new characters so it balances out all the veteran players that leave.
